Description
Poly Ferric Sulfate (PFS) is a high-performance inorganic polymer coagulant, primarily used in water and wastewater treatment. It is produced by polymerizing ferric sulfate under controlled conditions, resulting in a compound with superior coagulation, adsorption, and precipitation capabilities. PFS forms strong, dense flocs and is particularly effective at removing suspended solids, turbidity, phosphate, heavy metals, and COD/BOD. Compared to traditional coagulants like ferric sulfate or aluminum sulfate, PFS offers faster settling, reduced sludge volume, and better performance across varying water qualities.
| Grade Type | Description | Typical Fe Content (%) |
| Water Treatment Grade | Standard for industrial and municipal use | 19%–21% (liquid); ≥20% (solid) |
| Drinking Water Grade | High-purity, low heavy metal content for potable water | ≥20% |
| Low-pH Grade | Suitable for low-alkalinity or acidic raw water | ≥19% |
| Customized Grade | Tailored basicity, color, or iron content as required | As requested |
Application
Municipal Water Treatment: Used for turbidity, color, and pathogen reduction in drinking water.
Wastewater Treatment: Efficient in removing suspended solids, phosphorus, heavy metals, and organics.
Papermaking Industry: Enhances retention and improves water clarity in white water systems.
Oil & Gas Industry: Aids in drilling wastewater and oilfield effluent clarification.
Mining & Metallurgy: Applied in tailing pond treatment and metal-containing wastewater treatment.
Rapid floc formation and fast sedimentation
Effective over a wide pH range (4–11)
Lower sludge generation compared to traditional iron salts
Strong decolorization and phosphorus removal performance
Stable performance in cold or variable water conditions
Reduced chemical consumption and cost-effective in long-term operations
Store in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated warehouse. Avoid direct sunlight, moisture, and contamination. Keep tightly sealed to prevent degradation. Use corrosion-resistant containers for liquids.
